What does a different style of kippah mean?

A kippah which is also known as Yarmulke is nothing but a Jewish men head covering. You can find kippah on the top of the head of all orthodox. Most of the synagogues keep a stock of the spare kippot for the people who arrive at the event without a kippah. First of all, let me tell you that kippah means nothing but dome. The word is also used for the domed rooftops in Jerusalem and also for the Dome of rock. You might have noticed lots of debate regarding the different rabbis and communities about the wearing of kippahs all the time. There was a statement given by the Maimonides that even though the kippah is recommended strongly, but it is only required during the prayer time. Apart from this statement, there was a statement given by some different community which claimed that it is not necessary to wear kippah indoor.

But the orthodox Jews try to wear Kippahs wherever they go, irrespective of the occasion or event. You will be amazed to know that any sort of head covering will serve the purpose of wearing kippah. The difference in style of kippah signifies about the type of branch and community of Judaism do they belong. If you are talking about Israel, then let me tell you that the style of kippah is something more than just a fashion style. It gives a direct message to the viewers about your personal identity of Jewish.
